In preparation for the big day (TechStars Boston 2011 Demo Day), we’ve pushed out a new update!

The thing we’re most excited about is that we’ve added basic integration with facebook. Now you can find facebook friends who are already playing TapCity and send them friend requests in the game.

Also, anyone who has been having map troubles should see the game find your location no matter what now (even if it’s a little bit off sometimes). Also, we’ve fixed the previous problems where sometimes checkins weren’t being counted.

Finally, we’ve added a simple tutorial where we walk you through buying your first (imaginary) property, which is Maxwell the Penguin’s igloo. Current players may notice that some of the buttons in the game are now hidden. Just tap through the tutorial and once you’ve bought Maxwell’s igloo, everything will be back.
